Gastro-pub-y, not pub-ey

It's that time of the month again—not to be cranky, but to be happy (or at least fake happy) that its DOA 2nd Fridays. This Fri, May 14 from 630-8pm, we will be gathering at District. The latest venue from restauranteur George Abou-Daoud who has several Hollywood bar/eateries and is said to design his own places. This one is kind of rustic-y/industrial-y. Mr. Abou-Daoud describes it as feeling like you're not in L.A. Is that good or bad? Not L.A. like Paris or not L.A. like Fontana? Anyway, this place has a seasonal market driven menu so the food as well as the cocktail specialties reflect that. Hope you can make it and bring some new friends.
